New Opportunity: Hate Crime External Advisory Panel

1 min read

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria, Susan Dungworth, has launched a new Hate Crime External Advisory Panel, and is inviting applications from people with links to, knowledge of, or lived experience within diverse communities.

Panel members will meet quarterly to review a sample of hate crime cases, provide constructive feedback, and help identify opportunities for learning and improvement, a genuine opportunity to influence how hate crime cases are handled across the region.

If this is something you'd be interested in, we'd encourage you to apply. We'd also really appreciate it if you could help share this opportunity further across your own networks and communities, so it reaches as broad a range of people as possible.

This opportunity was shared with WEWN as part of our ongoing partnership work within the Gateshead and wider North East community safety network.
